How We Rate Casinos

The 7-criteria rubric we use to score every operator on the site, weighted for Malaysian e-wallet players specifically.

Every casino review on EWalletCasino is scored from 0 to 10 using the same 7-criteria rubric, then weighted to produce a single overall score. The rubric is biased toward what matters for Malaysian e-wallet players, not toward generic casino-review categories.

The 7 criteria

  1. Deposit speed and reliability (20%) — How fast does TNG/DuitNow land in the casino balance? Across how many test transactions did the deposit succeed first-try?
  2. Withdrawal speed and reliability (20%) — Average time from cashout request to funds in e-wallet, across our 3 test withdrawals. KYC friction on first cashout. Hidden withdrawal limits.
  3. Bonus terms (15%) — Headline value vs realistic value. Wagering requirements. Game weighting. Maximum cashout caps. Withdrawal blocks pending bonus completion.
  4. Game library (15%) — Provider mix. Number of active titles. Live casino availability and table count. Mobile-app stability.
  5. Customer support (10%) — Time-to-first-response on live chat. Quality of response (scripted vs actually useful). Languages supported (English + BM at minimum).
  6. Trust signals (10%) — License jurisdiction. Years in operation. Reputation in Malaysian iGaming forums (Lowyat.NET, Reddit r/MalaysianGambling). Visible responsible-gambling tools.
  7. Mobile experience (10%) — Android APK install friction. iOS sideload friction. Mobile-web fallback quality. App stability.

Test methodology

For each operator we score, we:

  • Sign up a fresh real-money account in MYR
  • Deposit RM 30–RM 100 via TNG (and a second e-wallet where supported)
  • Make 3 separate withdrawal attempts on different days
  • Time and screenshot every step
  • Submit at least one customer-support query
  • Test on both Android and iOS

Total testing time per operator: roughly 7–10 days.

What changes a score

Scores are reviewed quarterly. Scores can move up or down based on re-testing — and have moved both directions in the past. Commission rate paid by the operator is never a factor. See our affiliate disclosure.
